Wheeler instructs him to deduct $100 per quarter from Dorr's salary to pay Assistant Rev. W. Foggo, and to manage the $500 payment for the new temporary assistant out of Dorr's salary as well.

Abstract
Benjamin Dorr writes from Germantown to Edward L. Clark, Rector's Warden of Christ Church, asking him to procure a suitable clergyman to assist for six months in the services and work of Christ Church. Dorr states that he will arrange with the Accounting Warden to pay the clergyman an agreed remuneration not exceeding $500, and leaves the selection entirely in Clark's hands [p. 1].
In a second letter to Joseph K. Wheeler, Accounting Warden of Christ Church, Dorr explains that he has been paying the assistant, the Reverend W. Foggo, at a rate of $400 from his own rector's salary and wishes Wheeler to begin paying Foggo directly, $100 from each quarter's salary beginning with the quarter due January 10 [p. 2r]. Dorr also instructs Wheeler to pay the additional clergyman selected by the Rector's Warden for six months of service, in an amount not exceeding $500, taking receipts as vouchers for the accounts [p. 2r-p. 2v].
